Yassou! (which means Hello!) We traveled to Greece this past fall to document Greg and Lydia’s wedding! Beyond honored and both beside ourselves with excitement we couldn’t wait to see what Greece had in store for us. Our couple had two weddings, one in Detroit in the spring followed by another one in Greece celebrating with friends and family. Both were an incredible experience and we loved every minute with this couple.
We photographed a wedding in a town outside of Athens in Sparta in a town called Kavouraki. Lydia’s parents live in the town in Kavouraki. Her parents have their own Olive Grove surrounded by the quaint village they live in where our bride and groom had their first look before their wedding. They said their vows up the hill from their parent’s house in an intimate church in the village. It was magnificent and an amazing opportunity.
” I was beyond grateful for Adrienne’s mom who made my bouquet and headpiece the day of the wedding all from my mother’s garden! It was incredible! The woman is talented!
Not only did they document our wedding beautifully but they rolled with the punches since Greek weddings seem to be a little more laid back- being on time has never been something that the Greeks have been good at! Especially in Greece! But we were able to take some amazing pictures in my parents Olive Grove as well as around the tiny village they now live in. This wedding was so much more different aesthetically. With a laid back feel, beautiful deconstructed bouquet and look, and a no rules evening which made for some amazing moments captured. After our time was done Adrienne, Amber, Adrienne’s mother and dear friend were able to enjoy the wedding, kick back and let loose and were able to witness a true Greek wedding in Greece! With smashing plates and all- until 5am!!”

“Where do I start when it comes to both Adrienne and Amber?!? Remarkable, talented, strong, empowering women! I knew from the first time meeting Adrienne I had made the best decision choosing Weddings by Adrienne and Amber for documenting our weddings. Our first wedding was captured by Amber and Danielle and the pictures were more than we could have imagined after what seemed like a never ending rainy day. You would have never even known looking at our pictures. The pictures were exactly what we wanted. Clean, crisp, modern, and timeless. What I didn’t know was that after back and forth date issues I was able to book Adrienne and Amber for our second wedding in Kavouraki, Greece- a small village outside of Sparta where my parents live. A place that always meant something to me but now it means something to the both of us. These ladies made it happen and I am so glad that I changed the date to make it possible because what came of their visit was truly a remarkable gathering of people that simply love travel and the beauty of what is around them.
